This house is on a difficult site which drops off steeply to a small creek which runs right into the ocean. I gave the house a wrap-around porch & on the downhill side supported the porch on big angled posts. It looks very western.

         This house needed an excellent builder, and it got one. He had 40 years of experience. His crew fit the massive struts holding up the porch into their custom metal brackets with a precision that seemed to come from an exacto knife. This house will last.
